Examining Social Presence in CMC

The purpose of this study is to examine the role of social presence in online learning environments. More specifically, this study will examine the relationship between students’ perceptions of social presence in online courses and their perceptions of perceived learning and course satisfaction.

This study is being conducted with Dr. Rene Corbeil of The University of Texas at Brownsville. The survey has been completed, and the result are now being examined.
